The deputy of the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj, has commented on the visit of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken in Tirana, considering it "a positive moment", as he adds that it is welcomed by the Albanians.
Gjekmarkaj said that if Blinken will meet with the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani, it will encourage SPAK to act against the government.
He added that the opposition does not endanger SPAK, but absolute power, which, according to him, can become the enemy of the Special Prosecutor's Office.
"I think that every official who comes from the USA is welcomed and applauded by the Albanians. I see Blinken's visit as a positive moment for Albania and any comment would be redundant.
I don't know Blinken's agenda, if he meets Duman, he will encourage SPAK to act against the government and protect him from the government. It is not the opposition that endangers SPAK, but the power, which is absolute, that can turn into its enemy. If this happens, there is information that there is pressure on SPAK", said Gjekmarkaj for "Panorama".
