Clashes continue in the Olympic Park, where the process of counting Diaspora votes has begun, but is encountering numerous problems because DP commissioners have been instructed to contest the votes arriving from Greece.
This has caused tensions and clashes between representatives of political forces, more specifically between Flamur Noka (PD) and Taulant Balla (PS).
Noka has instructed all DP commissioners at the counting tables to separate the votes coming from Greece.
"The bags that Taulant has filled should come out separately, the diaspora's vote should be counted. This is the message. The bags that he has filled in Greece should be divided there. You count them," said Noka, addressing Celibashi.
"Well, are there any facts that we should know?" asked Balla, who requested the unblocking of the counting process. Balla even addressed the CEC representatives and demanded the implementation of the law, as otherwise they will face justice for abuse of office.
Meanwhile, in a communication with journalists, Noka said that Greece's votes should be separated from those arriving from other countries.
"Our order is complete. According to the law, every vote of every citizen, both in Albania and in the diaspora, should be counted. Every vote will be counted. Our information is abundant about Taulant's sacks," said Noka.
The DP, in public communications over the past week, has also called for the votes from Greece to be separated. According to them, there are irregularities and anomalies in the votes from the Greek state.
"It is a simple, reasonable request," said earlier the DP representative to the CEC, Marash Logu.
On the other hand, the SP's political leader for the diaspora, Taulant Balla, has considered this request illegal.
"The request is based on the Electoral Code, the request is accompanied by evidence and is in another phase of the process. If the counter does not count the ballots based on Article 330/a, it commits a criminal offense for which they are punished from 6 months to 3 years in prison. Now they have taken it upon themselves to put their own people in prison, but I do not believe that the counters have lost their minds to listen to these people. I believe that there is no one in Albania who does not know that these people do not care about counting, they care about the alibi of losing", said Balla.
