"Envelopes with euros, patronage agents and police terror", Berisha

The leader of the Democratic Party has again issued a statement to the media, after losing the May 11 elections. He has not accepted the defeat, accusing the government of buying the result, while adding that criminal gangs paid to get the SP votes.

As he announced a protest on May 16, the day of the Political Community Summit in Tirana, at 5:00 PM on 'Bulevardi Zogu i Parë' in front of the Prime Minister's Office, he listed the reasons why he lost heavily in these elections.

The leader of the DP said that the forgiveness of 1.2 million euros in fines, the permission to collect tens of thousands of hectares of cannabis and the envelopes with 100 euros for citizens are the reasons why the SP triumphed. Berisha also said that the criminal system of patronage and the terrorist police against voters were also the reasons for the defeat.

"The forgiveness of 1.2 million euros in fines and 100 euro envelopes is the most powerful public purchase that has occurred in the country's history.

Tens of thousands of hectares of cannabis that were allowed to be planted, each cannabis plant with a profit yield of 1 thousand euros, were counted for vote buying in the most ruthless way.

Job-for-vote recruitment was massively applied in these elections.

The criminal system of patronage, established around the polling station, was a terrorist police force against Albanian voters.

The two highest-ranking executives of SHIK, spokespeople for the director, spent the first few weeks going through all the State Security's agent registers and networks and activating them for Rama's seat.

"We are very responsibly identifying electoral crime, which is so monstrous even in the diaspora. You just heard how in the Berat ballot box for the diaspora, the PS came out with 99.6%. We are dealing with North Korea ," said Berisha.
