The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that he will hold serious negotiations with Shpëtim Idrizi to form a coalition together on May 11.
Asked at the press conference, Berisha said that negotiations with Shpëtim Idrizi's party are going very well, while emphasizing that he is open to forming an alliance with any party that has the objective of overthrowing Rama.
"Shpëtim Idrizi is an ally and we will conduct serious negotiations. We value Mr. Idrizi's party as a valuable ally. We will do everything to expand the opposition front with other parties. Every day I am inviting other parties, even those that are undecided, I hope they will decide and unite in a front to remove Edi Rama from power. I do not exclude all the others...", said Berisha.
But, while inviting Idriz, Berisha once again closed the door to Lulzim Basha.
"Basha is with Taulant Balla, don't confuse natural alliances. Is there an Alibeaj party? Where is it? I'm not prejudging him. Sir, they have the votes of the DP, let's not do that. However, I'm not prejudging anything, but let's not forget that they have that mandate with the votes of the DP, they want to step aside... I'm not prejudging them, no, regardless. I said, Basha has Taulant Balla's party. With all the political forces that define the removal of Edi Rama from power as an objective... This stands. I don't exclude anyone... Now, when it becomes public, there's no reason why it shouldn't become non-public. But there are and will be public ones too," he added.
