The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, reacted for the first time on the scandalous scenes in the Assembly on Thursday.
He said the attack was premeditated. In a statement to the media, he said that the opposition MPs had no reason to attack the government cabinet.
" There we had the maximum of filming and we had many witnesses who will tell the truth of that situation in which it was clearly not a matter of provocation and counter-provocation but it was a matter of a prepared attack since the speed with which they learned from the seats some deputies and in the direction of the seats of my colleagues from the Government while I was giving a speech, it clearly shows that there was nothing spontaneous there ", said Kurti.
The prime minister has called on the deputies to organize debates in the Parliament with arguments and counter arguments for every issue, saying that since the declaration of independence, he is the most thorough prime minister who has answered their questions.
" Once again, I ask the members of the Assembly of the Republic to organize parliamentary debates for everything, where we sift through the arguments, facts, attitudes, thoughts, opinions without violence. And those who are right, believe in the right they present should not be afraid of debate.
Whereas, you saw that I was banned from speaking in the assembly of the Republic of Kosovo and at the request of the Speaker, I gave up continuing my speech. Simply, when the session continued, I had to continue the speech, but the speaker of the parliament said to me 'Prime Minister, why don't you continue the speech so that we can calm the blood?', I agreed to this. But, despite this, this unfortunately did not give results. I am the prime minister not only from the declaration of independence of Kosovo, who is the most punctual in answering parliamentary questions ", added Kurti.
