Maria Zakharova accused Kurti of arming the Kosovo police and imposing mandatory military service to turn him into the army, thus violating Security Council Resolution 1244!
Moscow has again launched an attack on Kosovo, as it has accused the West of helping the latter to remove the Serbs from the North.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the US and the EU of turning a blind eye to what she called Kosovo's aggression against Serbs in the North. And instead, she added, they are helping Pristina in all areas, that of security, justice, economy and culture.
Among other things, Zakharova accused Prime Minister Albin Kurit of persecuting and arresting northern Serbs, as a sign of revenge for their participation in the protests and for not allowing the creation of the association.
In an effort to demoralize the local Serbian community, Albanians suppress all steps towards consolidating its legal status. The main task of Aljbin Kurti is to undo his commitment to the establishment of the Association. Hence his cynical logic: to solve the issue of its creation, you need to get rid of the Serbs ," Zaharova said at today's conference.
Among other things, Zaharova accused Kurti of removing the Serbian "Dinar" from use in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. According to her, Kurti's goal is to stop financial transactions in Serbian dinars, thus preventing transfers from Belgrade to pay the pensions of Serbs in the north.
Also, she accused Kurti of arming the Kosovo police and imposing mandatory military service to turn him into the army, thus violating Security Council Resolution 1244!
"It is planned to arm all the police, not only the special forces, with long-barreled automatic weapons and the introduction of mandatory military service until 2028, as part of the transformation of the 'Kosovo security forces' into the 'army', in opposition to Resolution 1244 of the Security Council. It is clear that one of the goals of this measure is to force Serbs of military age to leave the region ", she emphasized.
She accused the US of helping Kosovo exterminate Serbs from the north and rewarding it for these actions.
" Americans and Europeans encourage the ethnic cleansing initiated by the aforementioned "prime minister", rewarding Pristina with visa-free travel to the Schengen area and promoting the application for membership in the Council of Europe ," she said.
Zakharova emphasized that such a development should sober up those who talk about Albin Kurti's ability to negotiate and blame the Serbs for stalling the dialogue.
" Under the invented pretext of searching for weapons and contraband, raids by Prishtina's "special forces" are regularly carried out in areas inhabited by Serbs, and for more than seven months an embargo has been imposed on the import of goods labeled "made in Serbia. Only the strict observance of the agreements signed by the parties, first of all regarding the Union of Serbian Municipalities, within the strict framework of the fundamental resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council, can ensure a stable, fair result.
