The Kosovo Journalists Association has announced that Ukrainian journalist Olga Priadko, who had taken refuge in Kosovo, has passed away.
AGK announced that Priadko was 51 years old and had been living in Pristina for two years with her son, Yaroslav.
"With deep sorrow, the Kosovo Journalists Association announces the death of Ukrainian journalist Olga Priadko, at the age of 51. She was part of the "Journalists in Residence - Kosovo" program. Ms. Priadko died in her apartment in Pristina, where she lived for more than 2 years with her son, Yaroslav," the announcement says.
AGK and the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) have expressed their deepest condolences to the family and friends of journalist Priadko.
"Her dedication to journalism will be remembered and honored by all who worked with her," the AGK statement said.
The reasons for her separation from life are still unknown.
