At the end of the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo Glauk Konjufca spoke to the media about what was discussed in the meeting.
He said that the meeting discussed the situation in which Kosovo is and the pressures that the internationals are exerting on it. Konjufca added that they have no problem with Rama, as he left open the possibility of a Kurti-Rama meeting soon.
" Rama worried about the international pressure for Kosovo. He has the pressure apparently more than us. We don't have problems with Albania, it seems as if the problem came from there, not from us", Konjufca said while adding that they will see you soon though not tonight.
Asked about Kurti's refusal, Konjfuca said that the decision of the head of the government of Kosovo for the meeting with Rama should be respected since it was the meeting of the two governments that damaged the relationship between the two countries.
"When we are in our right and when even Albania does not understand us. With this, Kosovo can only be damaged. Rama has separated the elements of the association, but he claims that it is in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo. It seemed to me that there is an autonomy of the Serbs in the north," he said.
When asked if she had consulted with Kurt before the meeting with Rama, Konjufca answered saying that nothing happens without consultation.
" Kurti's refusal was his idea and must be respected. The agreements have been signed and it was a great loss that it was not done at the meeting of the governments. Rama was welcomed by the highest heads of state, if we were against him we would not meet him. We asked him to have our sense of the situation, it would help Kosovo to have compatibility in relation to what we experience from Serbia. If we agree with the idea of how Serbia approaches us, if we have differences, we are not serving the citizens of our country ", concluded Konjufca.
