Regarding the cause of the fire, Crime Investigation specialists at the Fier Police Station have escorted two suspects.
The situation from the large-scale fire in Drize, Fier, remains critical. Due to the advancement of the flames and the danger to residential areas, authorities have evacuated 11 families, while the operation to bring the fire under control continues on the ground.
According to the Police, the fire started near a place called "Azotiku", in the village of Drizë, and then spread towards the area of Qafë e Kosovicës, including forested areas near the villages of Peshtan i Madh, Peshtan i Vogël, Drizë Myrtezaj and Plyg.
Due to the strong wind, which has favored the spread of the flames, the police have evacuated 11 families from their homes and are continuously monitoring the area to prevent endangering homes and other entities.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Police has blocked traffic on the "Qafa e Kosovicës–Cakran" segment in both directions, to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles and the transport of firefighting equipment in areas with difficult terrain.
Firefighters, State Police, "Eagle" Special Forces, the National Security Force, the Fier Unit, as well as Armed Forces helicopters, are involved in the operation, which is intervening from the air to extinguish the flames. The hospital's emergency team is also on standby.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or asphyxiation. Authorities say the fire was prevented from spreading to a residence, which suffered only minor material damage.

The "Eagle" Special Forces, General Patrols, Road Police, groups of the National Security Force, the Fier Unit, as well as the heads of services of the Fier Local Police Directorate, who are coordinating and managing the situation on the ground, have been deployed at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation specialists of the Fier Police Commissariat have accompanied 2 citizens suspected of causing the fire and, in cooperation with the Prosecution, are continuing investigative actions to collect evidence and complete legal documentation of the case.
