Naim Murseli, the suspect in the murder of his wife, Liridona Ademaj, testified today at the Basic Court of Pristina. Before the trial panel, Murseli stated that throughout their marriage he had had a good relationship with the deceased and that she had never expressed dissatisfaction with their relationship.
"Liridona and I got engaged in 2010 and got married on December 11, 2011. We have been married for 12 years and have two children. Our relationship has been very good, happy. Liridona was a wonderful woman, a devoted mother and a devoted wife. We lived in Sweden, where she also received Swedish citizenship after three years ," said Murseli.
He said that Liridona's greatest desire was to become a mother, but for five years she had difficulty getting pregnant. After many attempts and visits to hospitals, in 2017 they became parents of their first child, while a year and a half later the second child was born. Murseli added that their relationship has always been good and there has been no violence or separation.
Naim Murseli was brought to court under strict security measures and in handcuffs, along with Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, also suspected of involvement in this crime.
The trial of three defendants, suspected of planning and carrying out the murder of Liridona Ademaj, has concluded for this session. The next session is scheduled for February 11 at the Basic Court of Pristina.
