The conflict, which is at least publicly known to have started in March of this year, is suspected to be the reason for the fight the day before between two armed groups in Pristina.

Both groups, at least publicly, started the conflict in March 2024, where Pajtim Gashi from the "Capat" group was injured, while the suspect for this event was Shkumbin Sekiraqa, the son of Salih Sekiraqa. The latter is one of the injured last night.
Against Shkumbin Sekiraqa, the prosecution filed an indictment for this event only 4 days before Sunday's case, and according to the indictment provided by Dukagjini television, he is in custody from June 3, 2024.
" Around 10:00 on the street "Bedri Shala" in Pristina, while he was driving an "Audi" type car owned by the other defendant M. Haliti, he met the person NN who was driving a pick-up truck, the defendant Shkumbin Sekiraqa, for unknown reasons, intentionally in order to deprive the injured Pajtim Gashi of his life, after the conversation with NN, addresses the person with the words "paja soq do you know me" and then they physically attack him , the indictment states.
The indictment shows that Shkumbin Sekiraqa pulled out a firearm and shot at Gashi and then hit him in the head with the butt of the gun.
" With these actions, he caused injuries to his head and a wound to his right leg, the victim (Pajtim Gashi) managed to leave the scene, the defendant (Shkumbin Sekiraqa) continued to shoot at him ", it is said in the indictment.
Another criminal offense charged to Sekiraqa by the Prosecutor's Office of Pristina is that of ownership, control or possession of a weapon without a permit.
In his statement to the police, Shkumbin Sekiraqa denied being involved in the case and the Prosecutor said that he stands by that statement.
And the injured Pajtim Gashi, describing the critical day, had said that a person had come by the family business in a car, who had told him "why are you looking at me" and had started cursing him.
After he had gone about 15 meters, he said that he had stopped the car and started swearing at him, and then another person had come, who had not said anything.
Afterwards, he stated that the defendant had fired a gun at him, and when he tried to take his gun, the other person hit him on the neck and head with punches and kicks, as a result of which he fell down.
According to him, the defendant had shot 5-6 times, he had stated that he did not know Shkumbin Sekiraq before or now, and that he had never had any problems with him.
A few hours after this event, a gun was fired at the house of the Sekiraqs at night, and it is suspected that the shots were from the Gashi family or as Pristina knows them since the pre-war "Capat".
Sali Sekiraqa, Shkumbin's father, also has a criminal history but with light sentences.
Sali Sekiraqa is charged with two criminal offences, one is for grievous bodily harm accused together with another person, while the other is for unauthorized ownership, control and possession of weapons.
Sali Sekiraqa, a recidivist, has never been in prison and has been fined 4 times, 2 times with 300 euros, once with 250 and once with 1,200 euros. / TV Dukagjini
