The US government's decision to punish the head of the Serbian secret service - BIA, and at the same time one of the closest people to Aleksandar Vucic, is turning out to be a real political hurricane.
As the hours pass, the Serbian and international media publish new facts about this very strong decision of Washington, which was taken at the very moment when Vučić spent a hell of a lot of money to lobby in Washington, and which in the end did not they did him 'no favors'.
Aleksandër Vulin is one of the closest friends of his namesake Vucic, who together founded the Serbian Progressive Party as co-shareholders.
Vučić came from a career as Vojislav Sešel's assistant and student in the Radical Party, and Vulini, as an apprentice to Mira Marković, Slobodan Milosevic's wife, in Serbia's left neo-communist party.
But both were direct recommendations of Moscow. Since 2012, when Vučić's party took over the government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin has been one of the most important people in Belgrade's power; Minister of Defense, Minister of the Interior, Head of the BIA Secret Service, and a very close person to Moscow in Vučić's SNS.
Moscow has a direct hold on all power centers in Belgrade; in the SNS there is Vulin, in the Serbian Socialist Party there is Dacic, and in the opposition there are the far-right parties.
But, as the Belgrade newspaper "Danas" informs, the tip that "spill the glass" is a dirty deal by Aleksandr Vulin since March, when he was in Moscow and met the head of Putin's secret services Nikolaj Patrushev. The US has managed to reveal that there were secret transactions of Russian money and weapons in the Balkans.

Ky sulm, ishte një shkarje e fortë e presidentit serb, i cili është vënë me shpatulla për muri, dhe i është kërkuar urgjent të zbatojë marrëveshjen për Kosovën. Duke iu bërë të qartë madje që sa më shpejt të vendosë a do ta njohë apo jo. Ndryshe do të nisin sanksionet ndaj Serbisë, duke filluar me ndërprerjen e menjëhershme të procesit të integrimit në BE.
Ndërkaq, mediat amerikane shkruajnë se SHBA ka dënuar “konen e Patrushevit”, siç e cilësuan ata Vulin.
“Ndëshkimi i Alexander Vulin tregon vendosmërinë e Shteteve të Bashkuara për të kërkuar llogari nga ata të përfshirë në aktivitete korruptive që avancojnë axhendat e tyre politike dhe interesat personale në dëm të paqes dhe stabilitetit në Ballkanin Perëndimor”, theksohet nga ‘Washington Post’.
The ‘Washington Examiner’, nga ana e saj, në një artikull të titulluar "SHBA sanksionon këlyshin e Nikolai Patrushev" (Sekretari i Këshillit të Sigurimit të Rusisë), shkruan se ndërsa ai e paraqet veten si një ultra-nacionalist serb i akredituar, Vulin është kryesisht i preferuari i Kremlinit, një kafshë shtëpiake dhe armik amerikan.
"Vulin is close both personally and professionally with the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev. A master of the darker arts of Russia's intelligence and security services, Patrushev is an anti-Western ideologue who makes Russian President Vladimir Putin look moderate by comparison. Patrushev strongly despises the United States, seeing America as Russia's permanent "main enemy." While the American intelligence community has chosen not to deal with the so-called Havana syndrome.
