With the return of "Defender Europe" to Kosovo, the USA is sending a clear message to Serbia, not to play with fire.
Kosovo will host the largest international exercise in the Balkan Region 'Defender Europe' 2025, after being excluded by the US in 2023 due to tensions in the North.
The news has been confirmed by the Minister of Defense of Kosovo, who has announced that all objectives of the Kosovo Security Force in "Defender Europe" have been met.
According to him, the only activity that was canceled was the day when the practical execution of the exercise was to take place before the departed visitors as a recapitulation of all the activities that were carried out during all the days of the exercise.
We recall that yesterday the American ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill, informed Serbian President Vucic that the USA has accepted Kosovo's request for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missiles.
As Hill is said to have said, the State Department will send Kosovo's request to the American Congress for the initiation of the procedure.
After the announcement of the case, Vucic said that he feels disappointed by this news, but added that he remains interested in continuing Serbia-USA relations.
The acceptance of Kosovo's request for anti-tank equipment from Washington comes after the raising of warplanes over Bosnia-Herzegovina, as a message to Serbia and Russia, that riots will not be allowed in these countries, as they are under the supervision of the USA!
We remind you that Kosovo was the host of the "Defender Europe" 2023 exercises that started on May 21 in Kosovo and was prepared to last until June 2. However, the USA canceled Kosovo's participation in "Defender Europe 2023" on May 20, after the unrest in the north.
The American Ambassador in Kosovo Jeff Hovenier said that the actions of the "Kurti" government have also produced the first consequence, the cancellation of the "Defender 23" exercise that was to take place today in Gjakova.
The decision was made last night by US General Christopher Cavoli, the new commander of US European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
