The acceptance of Kosovo's request for anti-tank equipment from Washington comes after the raising of warplanes over Bosnia-Herzegovina, as a message to Serbia and Russia, that riots will not be allowed in these countries, as they are under the supervision of the USA!
The American ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill, was received today in a meeting by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, where they discussed the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
In the communique issued by the Serbian Presidency, it is stated that Ambassador Hill has informed Vucic that the USA has accepted Kosovo's request for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missiles. As Hill is quoted as saying, the State Department will send Kosovo's request to the American Congress for the initiation of the procedure.
After the announcement of the case, Vucic said that he feels disappointed by this news, but added that he remains interested in continuing Serbia-USA relations.
" Ambassador Hill informed President Vucic about the American decision to accept Pristina's request for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missiles. As Ambassador Hill said, the State Department will send Pristina's request to the US Congress, which begins the official procedure. President Vučić said that this information is a great disappointment for Serbia, but that the country together with the USA will work to preserve Serbian-American relations ", the press release of the Serbian Presidency states.
Likewise, Vucic has repeated in his statement that he is maintaining peace in the region.
" For us, it is of great importance that peace in the region is not broken and that Serbia continues to act responsibly and contribute to stability in the Balkans ," he said.
