Actress Delinda Disha has announced that she will run for mayor of Tepelena in the November 9 elections.
"Good morning friends! From today I am happy to share with you the news as an independent candidate for mayor of Tepelena Municipality! With respect, Delinda Zhupa Disha," Disha wrote in a post on Instagram Story.
She thus becomes the second candidate from the acting field to participate in the local by-elections, after Florian Binaj, who is running for the Municipality of Tirana.
Beyond the media, Delinda Zhupa Disha is a well-known name to the Albanian public due to her career as a comedy actress. She has been part of the troupe of the show "Portokalli" for several seasons, where she became known for her comedic roles, and has also participated in other television projects such as "Klanifornia", standing out with her interpretation and energy on stage.
Over the years, Delinda has built a diverse profile, moving from art and media to civic engagement. Now, she seems determined to bring her experience to the service of the Tepelena community, with the aim of contributing positively to the development of the city.
