'The Woman In Me', the memoir of pop princess Britney Spears was released yesterday. In some of the chapters of this book, the singer shows the psychological pressure of her family members, mainly her father who, as she says in 2014, forced her to secretly go to rehabilitation centers.
The pop star writes in "The Woman in Me" that her then-boyfriend, Charlie Ebersol, gave her energy-enhancing products without seeking approval from Jamie, who oversaw her medical care at the time as her guardian.
“Charlie trained every day, taking pre-workout supplements and a whole bunch of vitamins. He shared his nutrition study with me and started giving me energy supplements," she recalls.
"My father didn't like that. He knew what I ate, he even knew when I would go to the bathroom. So when I started taking energy supplements, he saw that I had more energy on stage and that I was in better shape than I had been," the star writes.
The singer says she spent a month in an institution in Malibu, California, where she was surrounded by many serious drug abusers.
This is the first time Britney has revealed her rehab stint, although Star magazine reported at the time that she had gone to Summit Malibu.
