Demi Lovato gave an interview and talked about her personal life, but also the problems she had in the past with her father. This has made him seek relationships with men much older than himself.
The singer spoke on "The Howard Stern Show" and referred to the connections she had made in the past, with men who "dumped" her for several years. One of them was Wilmer Valderrama, with whom he spent 13 years.
"Now I can say with confidence that I no longer have all these problems that I had with my father," said the 31-year-old.
Looking back and reflecting on her relationships, she stated that she now finds it "disgusting" to be with a man with whom she has a big age difference. She herself is currently in a healthy relationship, as she says, with a man her own age who made her realize what she really wants.
"I am with my partner, who is close to my age. "I look back on my past, my acquaintances with older men and I think I regret it, it was disgusting," she said.
"My partner and I have a great relationship, we laugh a lot together. He is unstoppable. "I think if you can find someone who makes you feel safe and very attracted to you and you laugh with them all the time, then that's the formula for a really great relationship," she added.
