Will Diddy change or manipulate the judge? The rapper begins

Diddy seems determined to shed his bad boy image, as TMZ reports that the rapper, who is being held at the Brooklyn Federal Detention Center in New York, has begun psychotherapy and is also participating in self-improvement programs.

A few days ago, he was found not guilty of sex trafficking and guilty of transporting two women for immoral purposes, in a trial that monopolized media attention.

According to the same information, Combs is participating in the STOP program, which aims to prevent sexual abuse, domestic violence and relationship violence. At the same time, he is said to have joined Dr. Harry K. Wexler's drug rehabilitation program, which he had begun participating in before his arrest in September 2024 and continues to this day in prison.

Sources said the 55-year-old producer and rapper is trying to change course and take the first step towards personal redemption. As stated, his goal is to show good faith, pending the announcement of his sentence.

People close to him claim that Diddy is “working hard to improve himself” and talk about a “road to redemption.” However, there is no shortage of more cynical interpretations, with many suggesting that his participation in the programs is more intended to convince the judge of his intention to change.

It is not uncommon for convicted criminals to enter similar programs before being found guilty, in order to present an image of repentance and change.

Federal prosecutors have recommended a sentence of four years in prison, with the final decision up to Judge Arun Subramanian, who will announce the sentence on October 3.
