In addition, the wife is entitled to assets acquired during the marriage, which in Sheikha Mahra's case means that she will receive a share of the profits of Sheikh Mana's businesses that she earned during the year they were married. She will be obliged to return any gifts he gave her during their marriage, but on the other hand she has the right to demand substantial compensation for the moral and psychological damages caused by her husband, led to divorce.
