He wanted to break the record, the man who cried for a week went blind

Tembu Ebere, a Nigerian national lost part of his sight as he tried to cry non-stop for a whole week in order to break the Guinness World Record.

An unidentified person said Ebere had a headache, swollen face and eyes before he was partially blinded for 45 minutes.

"I had to tone down my mourning," said Ebere, adding that he was determined to complete the challenge even though it would not count as he had not applied to Guinness.
