Cardi B has hit back at comments from Elon Musk, who called her a "puppet" after Kamala Harris' rally in Milwaukee. The 32-year-old rapper, known for her social sensitivity and support for progressive policies, took to Twitter to respond to the Tesla founder.
"I'm not a doll, Elon," Cardi B wrote. "I'm the daughter of two immigrant parents who worked hard to raise me," she continued.
The rapper explained how she grew up in poverty and argued that the reality of Americans struggling to survive is something Musk can't understand.
It all started when Musk posted the video of Cardi B's speech, where the rapper appeared nervous due to a problem with the teleprompter.
In his post, he commented: "Another doll that doesn't speak without being fed with words."
With this comment, he pointed out the lack of authenticity and sensitivity in Kamala Harris' campaign, prompting a backlash from Cardi B.
Cardi B isn't the only celebrity supporting Harris in the run-up to the presidential election. Jennifer Lopez appeared at a rally in Las Vegas, showing her support for Puerto Ricans, while Beyoncé, speaking in Houston, called on the public to participate in the election, stressing the importance of voting.
