Ed Sheeran has revealed his plans to move to the United States with his family for an indefinite period.
While he has traveled frequently for work, it seems that the 34-year-old has now decided to take a significant step by spending extended time in the US as part of his upcoming tour.
"I'm getting ready to move to America. I feel like I'm the only person moving to America. I'm going on tour there for a while and I have family, so I can't just come and go. We're going and we're going to settle there," the world-famous singer said during an interview on the "2 Johnnies" podcast.
Meanwhile, we recall that in addition to his career, Ed Sheeran has invested in real estate in America. The music star has bought a luxury house in New York for 9 million pounds, while he has a large property in Sheeranville, Suffolk, where he lives with his wife Cherry Seaborn and their two daughters, Lyra and Jupiter.
Another reason for the move could be Sheeran's desire to pursue a career in country music. He has previously stated that Nashville is his favorite city in the US and his goal has always been to transition into the genre.
On the other hand, this decision comes after several previous controversies, including a statement he made about his Irish cultural identity, despite being born and raised in England.
