Elton John will end his 50-year career with a concert at Glastonbury

After months of touring, this is the last chance to see music legend Sir Elton John perform live in the UK.

Sir Elton is one of the world's best-selling artists, a performer with 32 studio albums under his belt, more than 300 million in record sales - but surprisingly has never played the world-famous Glastonbury festival before. In interviews, Sir Elton has said that performing at Glastonbury "couldn't have been a more perfect ending".

It is difficult to imagine how the star who has entertained the world for more than 50 years will completely leave the stage, reports 'Skynews'.

So will this really be the end?

Tom Smith, NME's managing music editor, says there is much speculation that the star may not be able to resist a comeback later on, and it looks like this could indeed be his farewell to live performance.

"There's always been a sort of 'will he, won't he', but he seems pretty determined that this will be the last show in the UK," he told Sky News. "I think the way he went about it and prepared for the show and talked about all the new bands he wants to celebrate in his career, you know, this long tour that he's been on, it seems like he can to be. indeed yes".

However, Sir Elton's husband David Furnish told Sky News ahead of the festival that this will not be the end of his music.

"I don't think he's going to sit on the couch with the remote control," Furnish said. "He will be back in the studio in October and will start his next album. Which will be awesome. He hasn't done a studio album in a long time."

During the concert, there will be other guests such as: Lady Gaga, Harry Styles and the star of Rocketman, Taron Egerton, among the last collaborators Britney Spears, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa.
