24-year-old model Endi Demneri was crowned "Miss Universe Albania" on June 1 and will represent Albania in the world competition in El Salvador in December of this year.
Invited to "Rudina", Endi explains what has already changed in her life after receiving this title, as well as explained the cause with which she presented herself in this beauty contest.
"I want to inspire all the little girls who are growing up, to think and understand that being Miss, being a girl in the show can help and aspire only for the best. We have the power now to do good things for our small country", - said Endi, adding that her cause in "Miss Universe" originated from a personal experience.
"It is a disease called endometriosis. This is my cause in "Miss Universe". I want to make little girls at my age understand that if they don't feel good about themselves, there's something wrong, they don't have the desire to start the day, the desire to do things for themselves, is really something wrong with them. You have to understand that nothing can stop you. The only thing that can stop you is a disease that is still unknown in Albania and other small countries.
Endometriosis is a disease that is in the female reproductive organ and affects the girl's mind. The moment you catch it, it takes 7 years to diagnose this type of disease.... It is very difficult and the moment it is found, it is diagnosed and it depends on what stage it is. My luck was that I was in the first stage and I was able to remove it completely as a disease."
Andy said that although it is a disease that is not talked about much, there is a cure, it just needs to be caught in the earliest stages:
"There is a cure, but only until the third stage. If you are above the third stage, you must undergo a treatment for years. This type of disease affects the mind, mood and reproduction. If you let this disease continue, you may reach the point where you can no longer have a baby. It is a disease that does not know where it comes from, but it is decisive for a woman's life."
But what is endometriosis, about which little or nothing is talked about in our country?
The endometrium represents the inner layer of the uterus and under normal conditions develops only in this organ.

Endometrioza konsiderohet si një nga shkaqet më të shpeshta të sterilitetit (pamundësisë për të mbetur shtatzënë) tek femrat.
According to world statistics, during their reproductive activity, about 176 million women in the world are affected by endometriosis, a disease that can lead to infertility. The symptoms of endometriosis vary in different patients, some have them more pronounced and some may not have any symptoms at all, therefore consultation with the gynecologist is always necessary.
