The famous French actor, Gerard Depardieu, punched the photojournalist, Rino Barillari, who ended up in the hospital.
Foreign media write that the 75-year-old was having lunch with his partner and a group of friends when the 'king' of the paparazzi started taking pictures.
His partner tried to block the 79-year-old photographer, grabbing him by the arm, while Depardieu punched him three times in the face and threw him to the ground.
"Depardieu hit me three times in the face. My head hurts, oh, I'm not 15 years old anymore, I'm 79 years old," said Barillari to the newspaper "Il Messaggero".
"Today there is a taxi strike in the city so I arrived via Veneto on foot I secretly took a photo with a beautiful girl, she noticed and threw some ice at me, in fact she came up to me saying 'm*t' and I smiled at her , I had time to understand what was happening before he hit me three times in the face, my whole right side hurts", added the photojournalist.
The well-known French actor is accused of sexual abuse, while he has been criticized as a supporter of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
