Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein was rushed to the hospital.
Weinstein, who is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence on multiple counts of rape, sexual misconduct and forced oral sex, was taken out of his cell at a local medical facility after his condition worsened.
ABC was the first media outlet to report on Weinstein's health, citing unnamed sources.
There are no details on whether Weinstein was injured or if this was simply a continuation of the illness he claimed to have.
Once one of the most powerful individuals in all of Hollywood, Weinstein's profile plummeted as a result of his criminal behavior and numerous allegations. Little has been heard of Weinstein since he was sent to prison.
"Please don't sentence me to life in prison," Weinstein pleaded with the judge.
While there has been little interest in Weinstein's fortune since he was incarcerated, there is a degree of prominence surrounding the timing of his heart surgery. Weinstein is known to suffer from a number of health problems and recently complained of chest pains in prison.
