Slimane, the popular singer and last year's representative of France at Eurovision, is facing a complaint of sexual harassment from a former technician who was on his tour. As French media reports, an official lawsuit has been filed against the singer for an incident that allegedly happened last December, during a concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne.
Saint-Étienne prosecutor David Charmage confirmed that the plaintiff's lawyer is expected to present additional evidence in the case. According to the complaint, the artist allegedly tried to hug the technician, repeatedly telling him to have sex. When he refused, Slimane continued to send him inappropriate messages and videos for several hours.
Slimane embarked in November 2023 on a tour in Zénith, France, the Cupidon Tour, a year after the release of his album Chroniques d'un cupidon, which was released in September 2022. The tour is still ongoing and is scheduled to end in January 2025 in Paris.
His next concert is scheduled to be held on November 8 in the city of Tours.
