A serious event has shocked the family of the famous Albanian singer Ganimete Abazi, known to the public as Ganja.
Her nephew, 22-year-old Lorik Abazi, has died in a stabbing attack in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Valley Retail Park area of Croydon. The news has deeply affected the artist's family, friends and followers.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred at around 01:15 after midnight. Three young men were found at the scene with stab wounds. Despite the rapid intervention of medical teams and emergency transportation to hospital, Lorik Abazi did not survive his injuries and died a short time later.
Two other young men, aged 21, were also injured. One of them is reported to be in critical condition, while doctors are continuing their efforts to stabilize him.
British police have immediately launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. So far, seven people have been arrested in connection with the case. The suspects include two 25-year-old women and a 28-year-old man, who are in custody.
Through a touching message on Instagram, Ganja expressed her pain:
"Ahhh, how hard it is to say goodbye, our Lorik. Life is often unfair and hits where it hurts the most. Rest in peace, my grandson, my soul. We will live with the pain for you, with the memories and love you gave us," writes Ganja.
