How do you comment on this statement?
A friend of mine who is an extraordinary reader sent it to me and I started reading it for fun. I saw it and said 'make it for me medicine'. That was the first part, I was shocked. Not that I don't know the situation. I know very well that the situation is to put my hands on my head. People read very little. Even the people who have read, I see that they read much less than before. And in a way I justify them, there are many people who have problems. Although I always say that a book is exactly like a balm that you put on a burned hand and it soothes it. At least that's how I think: if you've been burned somewhere and you put that balm on it, so is a book for the soul, but even for the troubles and the countless fatigues and challenges that life gives us.
But there is something not true in this, there is something contrived. First, that the girl had the Story ready to tell and she tells it very quickly. And second, the way she was very prepared to tell it. She said it in a very calm way, I was impressed by her face, that nothing moved, her clarity. But I can't say that it was inarticulate. This is the part that makes me doubt, in relation to the whole truth of this. Anyway, let's assume that it wasn't true and it was a fabrication, what is this for? Someone told me about clicks, but this is also my question...
How is this work, that a person who says something like this, is a 10 and moreover had a 9 in the exam?! Medicine is a dangerous branch. And now we have to question all these professors and this girl's knowledge. It seems very counterintuitive to me. Or is this girl so smart that she is using us all?! I find it difficult for her to practice medicine. Because medicine is another profession that must have nobility, must have care, empathy, things that I am not noticing. All of these are part of this big system, the system of clicks, the system of seeking attention.
