Elton Ilirjani has become an indisputable hero for a part of the Albanian people, as he immediately found himself next to the icon Parashqevi Simaku, after her images appeared in a miserable state. When the footage went viral, Elton provided her with a three-week hotel stay, food, clothing and other necessities.
However, the way he has documented and publicized every moment of this assistance has caused controversy. Elton has published on the network every detail of Parashqevi's life during that period, including the moments when he feeds her, when he gets in and out of the shower, how many hours he slept and many other details of her life.
The rest of the public reacted negatively to this action, criticizing Elton for a lack of respect and ethics in handling such a sensitive moment. These reactions have intensified after a comment made by Elton himself, a day before he met Parashqevi and published it on social networks. In a post on Instagram, where Parashqevi was seen receiving help as a homeless person in America, Eltoni commented: "Remove from the post. You are not doing well," and accompanied it with another line: "Horror!"
This comment and his actions have prompted a wide-ranging discussion about the ethics of aid and the privacy of individuals in such situations.
