The singer Jonida Maliqi has sued her ex-husband, Gent Prizreni, because, according to her, he does not pay alimony for his son, who needs special care due to his health condition. Maliqi appeared today at the Tirana Court, where accompanied by her lawyer, she submitted the lawsuit.
In her request, the singer submits that her ex-husband has not made the payment of 2,000 euros per month for her son's 'pension', as they had agreed.
Another point where the parties collide is the apartment where the singer lives with her son, Dani. The singer claims that the apartment is a "marital apartment", but the businessman has not respected the agreement to buy a new apartment for her, nor for her son. In the claim-lawsuit, it is emphasized that when the divorce took place, the ex-husband was the owner or co-owner of many assets, especially real estate located in many localities of Albania, which could be estimated at 3-4 million euros.
The 17-year love story between the couple ended 8 years ago. The divorce between them had been rumored for some time, but it was made official in June 2017.
