American rapper Drake's interest in Albania has often become a topic of discussion on social networks and the media, following various allusions linking him to our country for personal or marketing reasons.
According to former "Big Brother VIP" resident Alessio Aliaj, this relationship has nothing to do with any romantic story or promotional strategy, but with personal relationships and early friendships.
Invited to the show "Albania Live", Aliaj said that Drake has had contact with Albanians since a young age and that he grew up with several Albanian boys whom he considers close friends.
"I know Drake well, we also have contacts. He has a great respect for Albanians because he grew up with Albanians. He was a victim of bullying and some Albanians helped him. He grew up with Albanian boys who he now has as brothers ," Aliaj said.
According to him, these personal relationships are the main reason for the artist's appreciation for Albanians, denying rumors that link this interest to Albanian girls or marketing purposes.
Alessio Aliaj also added that Drake has expressed interest in visiting Albania and performing a concert, but so far this has not been finalized for organizational and logistical reasons.
According to him, the possibility of a future visit remains open, although there is no official confirmation yet of any concrete project in the country.
