After more than three decades in the spotlight, Victoria Beckham has decided to speak openly about the price she paid for fame. In a new Netflix documentary, set to be released in September, the former Spice Girls member reveals that the '90s brought her not only success, but also immense pressure from the media and the public.
Amidst emotions and tears, Victoria recalls the most difficult episodes of her career, including the moment in 1999 when she was forced to weigh herself live on television, just two months after the birth of her son, Brooklyn. “It was horrible, it felt like a public judgment on my body,” she says.
Criticism and constant pressure pushed her towards a strict lifestyle. For more than 25 years, Victoria has followed a very limited diet, consuming only fish and boiled vegetables, which her husband, David Beckham, has also confirmed. "The only small transgression? A glass of tequila," says the British designer with irony.
The documentary is expected to reveal the unseen side of an icon who, despite her perfect image, has struggled for decades with the insecurities and heavy expectations of fame.
