A wave of concern for Sophia Loren fans was created after some news spread on social networks, claiming that the legendary Italian actress had suffered a serious health deterioration and had been taken to the hospital.
But her family immediately reacted by denying these claims and clarifying that the news has no basis.
The actress's granddaughter, Alessandra Mussolini, published a video on Instagram in which she sought to reassure Loren's admirers, announcing that the 91-year-old is at home and in good condition.
"Aunt Sophia is fine. She is not hospitalized and the news that is spreading is not true," Mussolini declared.
According to her, the actress continues to be calm and maintains the energy that has accompanied her throughout her life and long career in cinematography.
"She is at home and feels very good. She is calm and strong, with that extraordinary energy that you all know her for ," she said.
Mussolini also indicated that Sophia Loren has gratefully received the numerous messages of support from fans around the world, who were concerned by the false information.
"She asked me to convey something very simple: thank you. Thank you for the love, the messages and the support ," her granddaughter said.
With the family's reaction, the rumors circulating online have been silenced, while the icon of Italian cinema continues to stay away from public life, enjoying the peace in her home.
