A 47-year-old flight attendant has blocked the Buenos Aires-Miami flight, sending a bomb threat voice message to the pilot. International media reports that Daniela Carbone wanted to prevent her boyfriend, a former flight attendant, from boarding a plane to fly to the US to reach the city where his new girlfriend lived.
Thus, 270 passengers and 12 crew members stayed on the ground for the necessary checks, along with other employees of the airline. At the end of the search, no suspicious equipment was found, but the airport police returned to the lady and handcuffed her directly at the airport.
The stewardess, who has been with Aerolineas Argentinas for 25 years, is accused of false alarm that threatened the presence of bombs on a plane that was leaving for Miami from Ezeiza International Airport.
According to investigators, Daniela Carbone used a cell phone belonging to her 21-year-old daughter to send the message, with her voice altered, to get revenge for being dumped by her ex-boyfriend who was on board the the plane.
"Tell the captain we planted three bombs on the plane. Don't mess with the police and watch the plane, because otherwise your head will fly off", the voice message with the changed voice reads.
After this communication, contingency plans were inevitably implemented in relation to bomb threats, forcing the passengers to go ashore while the aircraft was searched.
At the end of the search, no suspected bomb was found, while it was hypothesized that Carbone had decided to use this stunt to prevent her ex-boyfriend from flying to Miami, where he had apparently started a new love story.
A lawsuit has been filed against the lady, who may lose her job and is currently accused of "intimidation and disruption of public services."
