Court sentences Super League coach for threatening referee

Kosovo Super League referee Genc Nuza has won the trial against coach Tahir Batatina. The Basic Court in Pristina has found the coach guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 600 euros.

Genc Nuza accused Llapi's coach of threatening him after the match against Pristina at "Fadil Vokrri" on August 31, 2024.

Referee Genc Nuza's post:

" Dear friends. After I filed a complaint for intimidation as the main referee in the Albi Mall Super League Football match, held on 31.08.2024 at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium between FC Prishtina and KF Llapi, today on 21.01.2025 I received the verdict from the Basic Court in Prishtina as the injured party.

The court has found guilty the person who committed the criminal offense of threatening me while exercising my official duty as a football referee.

Despite the sentences imposed by the justice authorities, I assure you that for any attack, threat, accusation and defamation against me and my family, I will always turn to the justice authorities. Sincerely, Genc Nuza ".
