Brajan Gruda will not be part of Germany in "EURO 2024". The Albanian midfielder has been forced to say goodbye to his dream of playing in this event without waiting for the day when Julian Nagelsman would publish the official list of players who would be part of this representative.
The Mainz club announced that the youngster had suffered an injury in the last training session with Germany and since this morning he has left the squad, to start the recovery phase for this injury. According to the club, his current situation would not prevent him from returning in time for the start of training with the club for the new season, suggesting his condition was not a concern.
However, for the player this was a blow in itself, as he hoped to be a part of Germany at least until the friendly match against Greece, and why not, even to have the chance to make his debut in that challenge.
He was invited as an additional player for a few days first by coach Julian Nagelsman, who then decided to keep him in training, until he announced the final list of those who would play in the European Championship.
