Marash Kumbulla was the only red and black legionnaire in Serie A who changed his environment. The red and black center back was transferred from Roma to Sassuolo on loan without any obligation until the end of this season. This move suits Kumbulla, as his activation in Rome was in doubt, while in Sassuolo he hopes to have important minutes to be available for Albania in "EURO 2024". Kumbulla has fully recovered from the serious injury he suffered, a fact that the player himself admitted in an interview for the club's official website:
" I have fully recovered, as I also had a small muscle problem. I'm training with the team and I'll try to stay on the field as long as possible ", said Kumbulla first, then focusing on his transfer to Sassuolo: " Everything was very fast. The agent told me that you have to go to the Emilian team for medical visits. I also spoke with Nedim Bajram before I left and he told me that I am waiting for you here. I arrived and I'm happy about it ", said Kumbulla, making a comment about the national team at the end:
" For me, the Albanian national team is very important because it is what I have always wanted. My family is Albanian, even though I was born in Italy. I had the opportunity to choose and I chose Albania, because my heart was more for it. In the European, the first match is against Italy. I did not expect it, because it is difficult to play against, but the National Team is above all. It will be exciting and I hope to be there and win ," said Kumbulla.
