Edi Reja celebrates his 80th birthday: Albania, the last chapter of a story that began in the 1960s

Edi Reja is quite active in Italy where he often gives his opinion. Tomorrow, the former coach of the Albanian national team will celebrate his 80th birthday. The Italian coach, whose career began in the early 60s, will also celebrate this anniversary by doing what he loves most, sailing off the coast of Trieste.

" I've always done this on my birthday, except when I was the coach of Albania, because the sailing date coincided with national team commitments," Reja tells "La Gazzetta dello Sport."

Albania was the last chapter of a long story, which began in the early 1960s. I was only 16 years old when Paolo Macca's Spal asked me. That moment changed my life ", says Reja.
