The Albanian U-17 and U-19 women's national teams learned this Thursday their opponents in the first qualifying round of the European Championship.
According to the draw made at UEFA headquarters, the U-17 National Team, led by coach Cyme Lulaj, has been placed in Group B1 along with Ireland, Kosovo and Azerbaijan. Albania will be part of League B and will aim to secure promotion to League A for the second phase of the Euro 2027 qualifiers.
The host country of the mini-tournament will be determined in the coming days, after agreement between the four participating federations: the Albanian Football Federation, the Kosovo Football Federation, the Irish Football Federation and the Azerbaijan Football Federation.

Meanwhile, the U-19 Women's National Team has also known its rivals for the first qualifying round of the 2026-2027 European Championship. In the draw held at UEFA, the red and black girls learned that they will face Latvia, Cyprus and Moldova in Group B1 of League B.
The team led by coach Daniela Kodra will also seek promotion to League A, an objective that ensures participation in the second qualifying round of the continental competition.
The respective federations are expected to soon determine the host country of the matches, as well as the official calendar of this qualifying round.
