Fabregas "hangs his boots on the nail": The time has come to say

Cesc Fabregas has said goodbye to football played at the age of 36, as he announced that he will lead the B and Primavera team of Como.

He has given a lot to football and will be remembered as one of the best midfielders in the world. Fabregas has chosen to say enough, thus finally leaving football, after 19 golden years.

Cesc Fabregas' full post:

" With great sadness, the time has come to hang up my shoes. I will cherish every moment, from the first days at Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea Monaco and finally Como.

From the World Cup, to the European Championship, the victories in England, Spain, the conquest of the European trophies: it was a journey that I will never forget. To everyone who has helped me, my teammates, coaches, directors, presidents, owners, fans and my agent; to all my family, from my parents to my sister, my wife and my children, who have always given me advice and always been a guide; to my opponents with whom I have shared great battles on the field: thank you for making me stronger.

I have so many indelible memories and made friends along the way, it would be worth it for that alone. I also learned three languages and grew and matured in my travels. I've had experiences I never thought I'd come close to in a million years. But I'm not sad, because I'm ready to start a new path: to coach the B and Primavera team of Komo 1907. A club and a project I couldn't be more enthusiastic about. This team won my heart from the first minute, we met at the perfect moment of my career. I will give everything in this new adventure.

So, after 20 incredible years full of sacrifices, joy and passion, the time has come to say thank you and hello to the most beautiful sport in the world.

I loved every minute of it.

Czech ".

Fabregas played for years with Arsenal, with the Spaniard becoming Arsenal's undisputed leader from 2004 to 2010. He then opted for La Liga, wearing the Barcelona shirt for 3 seasons. During his career, Fabregas has played for Chelsea, Monaco and recently for Como in Italy.
