Argentine football in mourning, the talent of Velez dies a day before his birthday

A tragic event has been recorded in Argentina! Jair Rodriguez Pereira, youth footballer of Velez, died at the age of 14 due to an infectious disease at the Santa Isabel Hospital in Buenos Aires.

The young footballer joined the club in 2019, moving with his family to the Argentine capital and playing as a midfielder. 

Born on February 28, 2009, Pereira passed away a day before his fifteenth birthday. All activities related to the youth sector of Velez have been suspended.
