The Albanian football community said its final farewell this Monday to goalkeeper legend Paulin Ndoja, one of the greatest figures of Shkodran and Albanian football, who passed away a few days ago in Italy.
The tributes took place at the “Loro Boriçi” stadium in Shkodër, where numerous sports personalities participated. Also present at the tribute were the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, the member of the Executive Committee, Bardhyl Jera, as well as the president of the Shkodër Football Federation, Lazër Matija.
After expressing condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the "Grand Master", President Armand Duka gave a statement in which he praised the figure of Paulin Ndoja and his valuable contribution to Albanian football.
He expressed his sincere condolences to the Vllaznia club family and to the entire football community that lost an icon like Paulin Ndoja.
"Today is a sad day. We have lost one of the footballers with the most contributions to Shkodër and Albanian football, Paulin Ndoja. We have lost a good friend, a good companion and family member. A very respected man in football circles not only in Shkodër, but also in other places where he contributed as a coach and throughout Albania. Unfortunately, we are losing the excellent constellation of Shkodër footballers who have contributed, like Paulin Ndoja and his entire generation. Personally, I had close acquaintances with Paulin, I had great respect for him. He was a peaceful man, a man who conveyed only positive messages throughout his life. I will remember Paulin with respect, as a friend and as a friend. On this sad day, I want to express my condolences to Paulin's family, the entire Shkodër and Albanian football community, the Vllaznia club. May Paulin rest in peace, we will remember him "always as he has contributed in his life," declared the Duke.
