Judoka Akil Gjakova has ended up in the media's attention again, but this time not for the consecutive medals she won on the mat where she raised the name of Kosovo in judo competitions by being declared European Champion.
According to " Insajderi ", Akil Gjakova had asked for a separation from his wife, but the latter responded with a lawsuit, where, among other things, he submitted facts that the well-known sportsman used violence against her.

The spokesman of the prosecution of Peja, Shkodran Nikçi, has given more details. " The State Prosecutor has received a record of a civil dispute from the judge and has been informed by the lawyer of the injured party that there is an element of the criminal offense of domestic violence. The Kosovo Police was immediately authorized by the State Prosecutor to arrest the suspect and take legal measures against him ", says Nikçi's answer to "Express Newspaper".
