Red cards and goal on the limit, dramatic confrontation between Sheffield United

Sheffield United finally got into double figures on the table as Oli McBurnie's 103rd-minute strike secured a dramatic 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

No PL team has ever survived after taking fewer than nine points from the first 19 games of a league season. Such is the extent of the difficulty facing Sheffield boss Chris Wilder, who saw his side get off to a strong start against West Ham, scoring in the 28th minute through Kornet, who gave the advantage to the London club.

Sheffield's answer would come a minute before the end of the first half through Brereton Diaz, who in the 44th minute would score the equalizing goal. That would be enough for the first half.

With the start of the second half, the challenge would become tougher with both teams looking to avoid coming out of this match without a point. In the 79th minute, West Ham won a penalty which was converted into a goal by Ward-Prowse, who sealed the numbers 1-2.

If that wasn't enough, drama was added for Sheffield United who, in the 93rd minute, were down to 10 men after Brewster R's red card.

Then when things seemed closed and it was thought that the game would end with the result 1-2 in favor of West Ham. 'Karma' struck the London team. A red card against Coufal V, in the 97th minute, would leave the teams with 10 players each. Then in the 103rd minute Sheffield won a penalty which was converted by McBurnie who leveled the scores at 2-2 leaving the West Ham fans in shock.

With this draw, Sheffield United is in last place with 10 points, while West Ham is in 6th place with 35 points.
