The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, reacted through a post on social media, after Albania's 0-2 loss to England in the final qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup.

" Tonight our heart fought harder than the result. I am proud of every step, every duel and I thank the boys for their extraordinary dedication. Thank you also to the fans for their unconditional support! You are the pillar of this team. The play-offs are ours. Tonight we celebrate the achievement, while tomorrow the work begins for the challenges of March ," writes Duka.

Meanwhile, on November 20, Albania will learn the first opponent for the March play-offs. Both Albania and Kosovo, as they are ranked third, will play their match away. If they win this match, the final match will be decided by drawing lots as to where it will be played.
