Liverpool was defeated by Tottenham with the result 1-0 in the match valid for the English Cup.
The hero of the Londoners was Bergvall with the goal scored in the 86th minute of the meeting. The match was stopped and restarted 9 minutes late after Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentankur suffered a serious injury.
The Uruguayan midfielder was trying to deflect the ball with his head after a corner kick in the first minutes of the duel between the two teams. But he didn't shoot properly and then hit his head on the ground strangely, remaining motionless. He was carried away amid the applause of the entire audience present, while the match resumed again.
Through an official announcement, the Tottenham club has announced that Bentakur is aware.
" We can confirm that Rodrigo is conscious, is talking and will go to the hospital for further checks ," the club's announcement states.
Bentakur was unconscious for several minutes after falling face down on the ground.
The second match between these two teams will be played on February 6 at Anfield Road, where Liverpool will seek qualification to the FA Cup final.
