A spectacular goal by Donart Ibraimi in the 114th minute of the match secured Elbasan a ticket to the quarterfinals of the Albanian Cup, after a 2-1 victory against Flamurtari.
In a hard-fought match, Elbasan scored in the first half and it was thought that they would easily overcome the Vlorë team. But the latter started the second half with great enthusiasm and thanks to their insistence, they managed to score the equalizer with Oshafi.
The “yellow-blue tigers” tried to score in the remaining minutes, but they failed, leading the challenge to extra time. It was initially Flamurtari who came close to the qualifying goal, with a penalty that was not exactly converted by Trashi, stopped by Totoshi. Musta then left the home team with 10 men, punished with a red card.
However, Elbasan found the strength in the second extra time to score the winning goal 2-1 through a spectacular shot by Ibraimi, which was enough to secure a ticket to the eighth round that continues the Cup competition.
