Albanian midfielder Granit Xhaka, in an interview given to "DAZN", did not hesitate to praise and show maximum appreciation for coach Xabi Alonso. Recalling the time when Xhaka once played for Bayer Leverkusen, and the pair collaborated with each other.
According to the Albanian midfielder, Alonso was very genuine while the entire team was 100% focused at every moment when the team's helmsman spoke and gave his instructions in the locker room.
" He wasn't fake, he was a real coach. When coach Xabi Alonso came into the dressing room and started talking, everyone would immediately shut up and be 100% focused on what he was saying ," Xhaka said.
Among other things, the Albanian midfielder has shown that the main criterion for gaining Alonso's trust was maximum dedication on the field and seriousness in training.
" He wants to see you fight hard on the pitch. If you do that and train well, he will give you an opportunity. That's what I admired most about him ," the 33-year-old concluded.
