Liverpool have won the English title for the 20th time after beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield. It is their second Premier League title for this generation of players and was won with four games remaining in the 2024-25 season.
It was actually the visitors who took the lead on the day through Dominic Solanke, but it took Luis Diaz just four minutes to equalise.
A pair of brilliant finishes from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo made it 3-1 going into half-time. Mohamed Salah came on in the second half desperate to add his name to the scoresheet and did so in the 63rd minute with a well-placed effort. A fifth Liverpool goal followed shortly afterwards with Destiny Udogie slotting home.
